Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy is a process of building a trusting relationship with someone else, your therapist, and learning how to talk about your thoughts and feelings. It also involves learning to spot patterns and how they may be impacting you. You will learn new skills and practice exercises to address specific things you may want to improve or change. At times therapy can be uncomfortable but know that you will always have support to cope with any distress that comes up. I will pace our work to what feels right for you and I encourage you to share when something doesn’t feel right.
I accept Aetna and private pay. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance to learn about your insurance plan and if it includes out of network benefits. Your reimbursement rate will be determined by your insurance provider.
Prior to your appointment I will provide you with a good faith estimate. My standard fee is $200 for a 45 minute session. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots at a time. You are welcome to discuss this with me on our introductory call.
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. I understand things do come up from time and time and I will make every effort to reschedule our appointment within that week. If we are able to do so, the cancellation fee will be waived. Cancellation fees are the same cost of a session.
At this time I offer convenient tele-health therapy via a secure, HIPAA compliant, video platform.
